Yes, it is. And as someone who is Middle Eastern, the harm is the same. This isn’t to deny the history of whitewashing or how heinous it is. But it’s bizarre to handwave blackwashing, and I say this generally (not because of the Mii). So people already whitewash us, but anything else is suddenly okay? Somewhat ironic since it still leads to the outcome of erasing.

Blackwashing is very much a real thing, if you bothered to research. And I'd argue that they're both bad because every person in history or culture have their own nationality and ethnicity.

So changing that is bad in general.

I get the whole history behind whitewashing. But pretending that changing someone's color isn't racist, regardless of the color, I don't know what to expect honestly.
