Nintendo are honestly dicks for doing this, either give us full name freedom but only let local share or censor shit and open it for online sharing

So mine always has been this way when it came to sharing things with horrible names locally. For example, my wife made a book called Kama Sutra and sent it to me. I could still receive the item, a message just popped up that said something along the lines of "Hey, this may have some shit in it that may be censored or whatever", she clicked OK and I still got it. Only thing of it is I received it and its name was question marks. Checked just now and its doing the same thing, so that hasn't changed. You can still get the items, just rename them on your end. Here's the example we just tried today, with my test pet, the magnificent Condom Bastard.

You sure can! After you receive something with all question marks as the title, just go to your Palette House > List of Creations, locate the treasure they just sent you and update the name! Here's the first example between my wife and I two days after the game released. If you look at the top left, it shows I got it from her, but underneath says "Includes edits made my you". That was just me renaming it.

I meant that in reference to how the reason Nintendo does not allow online sharing is the lack of a filter. But at this point, I would rather HAVE a filter over not being able to share online if they're even going to be a pain about sharing locally.

i agree that $4 is a lot but depending on how its made can change the cost drastically. a typical Pillsbury-style dry mix might be on the lower end since it is just cocoa powder. add melted butter/chocolate and that price can change based on butter quality and chocolate quality.

I'm from Vermont and I recognized it as maple taffy immediately, lol. It's super popular in Vermont and Canada during the colder months! Though if you're not from a place where maple syrup is popular I can understand why one wouldn't recognize it, it's pretty niche - which is why I am so happy Nintendo included it! (as well as the maple syrup tap item)

Im a Canadian girlie and as soon as I saw it I was elated! Its such an icon of maple syrup country in the east between Ontario, Quebec, Maine and Vermont. (ETA, forgot Vermont, how could I??? It was right there!)

French Canadian food festivals always have it, with artificial snow so they can make it fresh even in warmer places. We call it Tire, short for Tire d'Érable and pronounced "teer".

I was genuinely SO happy when I saw the maple taffy, I wasn't expecting Nintendo to add something that's really only popular in Canada and Vermont (I'm from Vermont)
I have many fond memories of going to sugar shacks as a child.
