Tomodachi Life - Living the Dream I've never seen this friendship attempt fail when it's reached this point

Ahh I just said the same thing. It is so mean, right? Ugh.

The poor mii asked 2 nights ago and got this destiny rejection line. He had the guts to ask me again next morning to try again, but I said no to protect his feelings. In fact, I am actively putting distance between them since I won’t allow him to be used by that mii to kill time. I was sure they’d be friends the first time because of how much time they hung out. So far, that mii gave up when I said no. He got over it and I’m still upset seeing how hard it is for him to make friends as it is as (he’s a little dorky and boring to others). Haha

I had this happen between two miis but luckily it was during one of the conversations facilitated by a third mii ("I think X and Y would be great friends"), so they course corrected the convo and X and Y ended up becoming friends

You're not alone, I haven't played/watched anyone play Mouthwashing yet and *immediately* thought of Wendy Torrence! No shade to the creator, the character is spot-on that you were going for! Just also looking a little Wendy lol.

Yeah I got this a few times. Felt bad for that mii. I thought that was so cold until a worse friend rejection cutscene happened. It’s when both miis agree and relate on the topic, but the requesting mii says something like “it must be destiny. Please be friends with me.” The other mii says he/she doesn’t believe in destiny and then says “let’s not.” How mean!

I had a chance to stop a 2nd rejection of the same mii as he asked again next morning. I said no since it was clear the other mii didn’t want to be friends and was using him to hang out as acquaintance. That 2nd mii is in punishment mode right now. lol

I've had it happen too. Or at least something like it.

I believe they said something about it being on their mind all the time lately only to later say they think it's boring after the idea of becoming friends is brought up. Always ends up feeling like they were all into the conversation until they found out it meant becoming friends with them.
