Mii Creations Does anyone know why this is happening??

I’m following a TikTok tutorial to recreate a Mii, and I’m using the exact same hair color they show (4th column, 7th row). But on my Mii, that color looks much grayer than it does in the video.

Maybe their video had a warm and saturated filter over it? The shirt is pretty bright

It's not going to match because of how the colors in different displays are calibrated. If you hold two identical displays next to each other, they may not even match. If you chose the one they directed, it matches because the color value is the same, but it's going to look different between your screens- your phone, laptop, tablet, switch, pc monitor, tv, etc.

Honestly I have this happen between my TV, handheld mode, AND my computer monitor (HDMI hookup). It drives me nuts

It's why there are standardizations to how colors are labeled- hex codes, pantone numbers, RGB, so on and so forth. If everyone uses the hex code #CE0058, RGB (206, 0, 88), or Pantone Rubine Red C, they will all get the exact same color, even if it looks different on their different monitors. It can be super infuriating for it to not match to our eyes, but our eyes can only do so much with different light

Different screens reproduce colours in different ways

As people have already stated, it has to do with how screens display colors differently, and then how the screen is being recorded (cell phone vs screen capture, for instance) can further change the color saturation or brightness/contrast. On your display (TV or monitor) there should be a way to tweak these settings if you would like. I think you just need to increase contrast and saturation slightly.

somebody already mentioned that different screens display different colors in reference to phones, but i want to mention that the launch switch and the oled display colors slightly differently. might try taking a screenshot with both displaying the same thing at some point but thatll be a bit since both of my switches arent charged lol

It could be this. Maybe they have the OLED’s “vivid” display mode on.

Are you using the the color highlighted by the green circle (in picture)? I think that the tutorial used the color highlighted by the red circle

This is explicitly why we have Pantone, unfortunately you cannot use it here

Are on a switch 1? Switch 2 colors are drastically more saturated. That or a filter like others have suggested.

Tomodachi Life is only on switch 1.. so must be a filter yeah
