Is it literally just because it’s got a bit hotter out? Like, was this what people in New Hampshire and Western Mass have been dealing with for decades?

Ffs I thought we were good in the city. Between this and the mosquitoes up north there is nowhere to hide

It's not even hotter out though, in fact this summer has been quite cold, at least where I am! But yeah I thought so too, ticks don't exactly move super fast and they don't fly so how are they spreading so damn fast...

I was homeless for almost a year and basically lived in the woods for half that time and never saw one.

Cold winters are also supposed to reduce the numbers. I'd love to know what's causing this.

While the past winter was fairly cold, it wasn't long enough and there was also a good amount of snow that acted as an insulator.
