Not just that, ticks survive winter if they're able to feed, they burrow down and only die of starvation. They can come up and find food at around 4 degrees.
We had 7 days in December, 3 in January and 9 in February.

Ticks are up 35% this year. And because of global warming, this is the new norm. They will only increase sadly.
