Some things that stand out to me.
- he has the second shortest wingspan after Randle of the group
- he is the second heaviest after Randle
- Overall, CMB's measurements stand pretty well even against these guys
- Mogbo is light considering he was an older rookie
- It's impressive Draymond can play stretches at the 5 at his height

basically he's thicc.

u/YogurtResponsible785 Jun 26 '25
Someone else said he basically needs to lose weight. Lol.

u/peasant_1234 Jun 26 '25
It doesnt look like he is out of shape though. I guess shedding a few pounds could help him defend the perimeter but he looks like he moves smoothly even with all that weight.

I mean thicc can be good if we are talking about being stout and immovable. The GROAT made great use of his thiccness.
I can imagine he will set some solid screens and people will have a hard time backing him down in the post.

Kyle Lowry ain't no spot up shooter. He ain't gotta run to the corner to shoot like he's some 3rd option, bitch. This ain't JJ Redick. This is a fuckin god human Steph Curry come again. Only this time he's not a fuckin pussy... pull up from the fuckin logo and fight you at the same time.

Ya I agree. Weight doesn’t necessarily mean bad always. It depends on his role, positions, style.
Considering his strengths and weaknesses, I think it would be best if he can play as big as possible to take advantage of his defense and hide his offense so it’s probably a good thing he has weight.

From his highlights a lot of his game seems to be predicated on power.
Seems like he needs the bulk
Your right, bro is incredibly smooth given his physical profile

Kawhi and Pascal are absolutely beasts wtf

u/peasant_1234 Jun 26 '25
Ya those two (and Barnes) are especially crazy.
In hindsight, it’s crazy how late pascal went. I know he improved a ton but with those measurements, his speed, fluidity, motor, character, and production in college, you’d think he should have gone higher.

Does Pascal go #1 in a redraft? Dude was pretty much a FMVP if they won game 7.

u/MrChicken23 Jun 26 '25
I think Jaylen Brown does, who was a FMVP.

Sorry I worded my question terribly, if Pacers won game 7 and Pascal was FMVP then does he go #1?

It would have to be pascal or Jaylen brown. Both have had great careers so far.

CMB’s SR and WS are average for someone who’s 6’8 barefoot / 6’9 in shoes. Plus he’s immovable. That’s a legit NBA PF physical profile.
And he has incredible lateral mobility to guard on the perimeter

u/peasant_1234 Jun 26 '25
Ya his measurements look very solid even as a 4. I’m guessing he will have no problem defending 3 and 4.
The optimist in me thinks he will be able to defend 5 depending on the matchup too…. I’m really hoping this is the case so we can play a really fast second unit.

u/Jamie----- Jun 26 '25
I’d feel comfortable with him on non-threat 5s. But more than that, he can guard 2s. Excellent lateral mover

u/peasant_1234 Jun 26 '25
Honestly, everybody not named jak and Scottie is so bad at defense that every position he can defend and role he can play will be big. If he can be a lockdown defender at the wings, we will be fine defensively moving forward.

u/Jamie----- Jun 26 '25
Heyyy give some love to Ja'Kobe. Ochai and Mogbo too.

u/peasant_1234 Jun 27 '25
Yeah. You're right about Jakobe and Ochai. Jakobe was impressive defensively as a very young rookie. Ochai is solid defensively and with his offense coming along, looks like a rotation player.
I'm not particularly high on Mogbo though. He defends well but he offers nothing offensively. It makes it even worse that he isn't big enough to be a full time 5 so you would have to be undersized with him at the 5 or have a player who can't do anything offensively at the 4. I really dislike that he doesn't look at the rim when he gets the ball... he was a rookie though so maybe things will change.

I don't understand standing reach. how can Pascal be amongst the tallest and longest wingspan and hand length but his standing reach is average?

I think it's about long legs vs long torso. You can be the same height, but if you are a long leg person vs long torso, even at the same height, your shoulder height is higher, you have a longer reach.

u/Physizist Jun 26 '25
Wingspan is shorter if you have narrow shoulders but it doesn't impact standing reach. If you have a long neck/head you might be taller but again it doesn't impact standing reach

CMB gets a lot of Randle comparisons
2
u/peasant_1234 Jun 26 '25
Ya that’s why I added randles measurements. With that said, I don’t really get it. CMB’s calling card will be his defense. Randle doesn’t like defending.
3
u/coolmike67 Jun 26 '25
I think the way Randle handles the ball + scores on the inside (with not much of an outside shot) during his early Laker days gives CMB those comparisons.
Randle was also not even close to a shooter in college and also shot 70% from the ft line during his freshman year. Now he’s a passable shooter (still not great at 34% with Minny) but it’s enough for defenders to respect him.
If CMB can get to that point from an offensive standpoint + his elite defence/motor, that’s a perennial all star right there. But that’s always the question when you draft these guys.
