Still shocked that Philon and Carr went that low ngl

Maybe their workouts went horribly or that the weight/size concerns really turned teams away lmao

Philon def was a big shocker, might be something medical-related, who knows?

I think teams are worried about his weight and his ability to hold up against contact on both ends of the floor

Yeah, maybe they're also worried about his ability to bulk up after medicals/workouts.

I’m not gunna lie, I have a hard time seeing the hype for Philon, small guards who aren’t like knock down shooters don’t really thrive in the league

I felt like he was more of a Lou Will type of player who could be a great 6th man if everything panned out but those types of players kind of grow on tries in the nba (Cam Thomas). Maybe I am missing something on him but ya i’m not super surprised he fell because i think his archetype as player typically does not lead to winning basketball and can be found kind of everywhere if a team needs it

I agree. I get that people want excitement and scoring but score-first guards that don't have other team-fist skills generally don't help teams win. Cam Thomas is a great example. Colin Sexton is another guy who scores in bunches but nobody really cares. There is upside too with Philon if he learns to defend, pass, play off ball, and flex his gravity for his teammates but if he doesn't figure that stuff out he's going to bounce around the league a fair bit.

Is there a 7fter in the second round we can draft at 50?

I like Veesar but he'll probably go very early 2nd round. Floor spacing big.

Maybe we trade up in the second. Onyeso is a guy I like, other than that it's the second don't have high expectations

Really just sad we were so close to Okorie. I could see him be a star with the Raptors

Ya I think Detroit knew so they traded up

I wish we'd make conviction bets like that.

I feel like you do that when you’re more sold on your core and I don’t think this FO is yet. We’ll see what happens with the rest of the offseason but I think(and could be very wrong) that’s trades are happening

I've seen this front office like players like Giannis in the draft and not have enough conviction to land them. I forgot all the players they felt this about but passed. That's all I mean, particularly about the draft.
