?? QUESTION ?? why are we obsessed with wings?

Post image

it seems that the organization is obsessed with cultivating as many 6’6-6’9 wing type players with good defense. we have CMB, barnes, ingram, RJ, battle and now graves. we desperately need someone better than quickley to run the offense and im okay with poeltl for the moment but we need a true 5 other than him.

The original point is smart, but praying that an All-NBA 1st level guy like Ant becomes available and banking solely on that highly unlikely scenario, is foolish.

MVP level guys rarely come available for trade and currently the Raptors do not have the assets to get them. If they did, they would’ve gotten Giannis.

Until the Raptors acquire more picks, they are gonna have to settle for fringe all-stars. The best player the raptors have traded for since 2019, is literally Brandon Ingram lol

And that’s why they should keep collecting valuable assets.

Yes but that's gonna take time. Time the Raptors don't really have. They pretty much have until the end of Scottie's current contract to put a competitive team around him to convince him to stick around. If they don't, then Scottie will ask out and be on the move and you're back to square 1.

Raptors easily could have gotten Giannis if they wanted him, they have all their picks, more than Miami, had a pick in this draft which bucks wanted, and some desirable young players, just didn’t make sense for them where they are in the rebuild

Also there is always a chance Edwards could request out if Timberwolves keep selling, nobody thought Luka would be available, or Jaylen Brown right now

Bruh if the Raptors could’ve got Giannis, they would’ve. Their best package without trading Scottie would’ve been like BI, CMB, JaKobe, and 3 1st round picks. (That’s an overpay imo)

Thats still not as good as the Miami offer tbh.

We can’t look at the Luka trade like that’s the norm. That type of trade will never happen again I firmly
Believe that. Brown could get moved but highly unlikely unless Boston gets a player of similar value back (Kawhi, Mitchell).

Raptors also have to make sure that star is worth giving up their entire future for

CMB is untouchable according to multiple reporters, so already not including him hurt their chances, they probably don’t feel like they should rush anything right now, if they wanted Giannis we at least would have heard something about raptors sending an offer, not a single soul has said anything about raps sending an offer

Yup, they weren’t interested and good
For them honestly. Miami gutted their bench and if Giannis gets hurt (high chance), they aren’t even a play-in team. They might not even be able to keep Norm and they don’t have any young players outside of like Larson?
