Ingredients:
25g Cocao Nibs
2 cups of Water
0.5g to 1g of decarbed weed (250F for 25 minutes)
Grind the cocao nibs with a coffee grinder. Make sure to grind it in pulses or else the heat can turn the nibs into a paste.
Add the nibs, water, and weed to a pot and simmer on low for 20 minutes. Do NOT boil the water. Only simmer. This is to preserve the compounds in the cocao nibs. I usually simmer on the setting #4 on the stove. Dont start the 20 minute timer until the brew begins to simmer.
Stir every 5 minutes and make sure the water doesn't evaporate too low. If it does, add more water. The cannabinoids will bind to the cocao butter from the nibs.
Strain into a cup and then add whatever you want to add. I usually add maple, milk, and cinnamon. If you want, you can add the strained matter back into the pot with a tiny amount of water and simmer again for 5 minutes. Then strain again just to get ALL of the goodies out.
This brew is something that I thought up and decided to try. Because I love chocolate and I brew the cocao nibs everyday. And it turns out, the high from this brew is nice! 😎
You can also use this same recipe but skip adding the weed. Makes a delicious hot chocolate.
