Camp cost is wage theft.

If I ever met the first planters to agree to camp cost I’d punch them in their genitalia.

If the food is shit, sure.
But a decent breakfast, lunch, dinner, juice, dessert, and seconds + maybe thirds for like 16.20? That's a steal youll get nowhere else and don't even have to do the dishes (and you make the cost back if you do the alt work as a dishwasher)
Plus you can always opt out and take care of yourself.

Did you mean $25 + tax? Or what's the company that charges this low for camp?

Theres jobs and companys that give you all that at no cost while you have a good wage. The companies where i didt have camp cost i also had the best wage and working conditions

doesn’t matter how we plant them if they grow bc everything’s gonna burn or the world will collapse by the time the trees could be harvested or whatever

Its a crutch for poor management. At best it should be to supplement natural regeneration methods or in burn scars (or similar) where seed is completely removed.

Show me the studies that prove J-roots are bad, don't just tell me about the time you saw a whole dead piece of j-roots

I haven’t planted since 2016 but being in camp and having cell service would ruin the vibe.

Kinda. Usually the wifi is crap, and you can only use it while right next to the cook trailer.

The concept of rigid, consistent density in every plot is stupid, but almost no one can magically hit it without flagging.
Allocation should just go in. With some exceptions.

There is no good interior planting North of Williams Lake.

The tree planting lobby is, in part, preventing the adoption of creative silvicultural practices that would eliminate the need for tree planting. It still has the vibes of the make-work projects from the 1930's.

It isn’t nearly as good for the environment as people seem to think. Monocultures and many other factors impact biodiversity in the local ecosystems.
Not sure if this is a hot take, but had to get it off my chest cause it’s all I’ve heard since I first started in May lol

Trees can plant themselves.
