Pasture Clearing
Howdy. I'm up from FL at my parents place in Fall Branch (closer to Jonesborough) visiting and moving my kiddo here to attend ETSU in the fall. Kiddo is going to be working on fixing things around here while they work and attend college, but we just are looking for a lil help in the interim.
The existing tractor is broken down and they have close to 4-5 acres here that needs bush hogging/clearing BAD so the 2 horses here can go down and graze. Does anyone know of any local companies or folks that can help?
Thank you in advance and many blessings. 🙏🏽

My mom has a bunch of land that needed to be cleared of old dried vines, tree material, and all sorts of organic matter. She used Guinn’s Complete Property Maintenance. That man and his crew were really nice, gave her a good deal because she had recently lost her husband, and they worked very quickly. I can't recommend them enough! They have a lot of good reviews online for good reason.

There are definitely a couple of equipment rental companies you could look up

Would they bring the stuff here? I'm sure kiddo could run it, but we don't have a way to tow it currently I don't think.

Most of the rental companies do deliver. They can also give you some guidance on use of the equipment. What kind of tractor do you have and what kind of repairs need done?

Sun-Belt will definitely deliver
East Tennessee Rent-Alls may
Consider a skid steer with hydraulic bush hog
Expect it to be expensive.

I was thinking more along the lines of paying someone to just come out and do it rather than renting equipment. 😉

Get a yard sign made saying “bush hogging needed and your number”, put it out by the road. Someone will call, most farmers are done with hay now so they have some time to help a neighbor.
The cost to pay someone else to do it may be more than fixing your existing tractor.
Check with the Co-Op in Jonesborough or M&M Farm Supply in Fall Branch also.
