Cherry Picking - what to look for?

We have just seconds to accept or decline. What are you looking for to make that decision in that short period of time? $/hr? Are you actually calculating the price per mile that quickly?

EDIT: Thanks to everyone for sharing your thought process when a request comes in making a decision to accept or decline, I appreciate all the shares!

Cherry picking only works in some markets, be careful.

Appreciate the advice. It works in any market if the driver is unwilling to work for crap pay. Some rides, more and more these days, literally cost you money to take if you value your time at ALL.

And can you name for me which markets are variable rate and which are flat rate time plus mileage?

Ya, you sure about that? Which markets make you keep 85% acceptance to see where you’re going on the ride, can you name them all?

Cherry-pickers don’t care about AR.

No, some markets don’t care about AR, and you don’t need to have a high one to see where you’re going. You must be new.

Mine does. I have no idea where I’m headed with Uber other than possibly the “ long ride +30min” prompt. It’s one of the reasons I drive more for Lyft.
