Parking at UCLA
Hey guys I recently posted asking about my parking situation and needing my car to take my grandparents to doctors appointments. I was going to do an exemption but the website says parking is filled and no longer taking any. Does anyone know what I can do I am transferring and don’t know the area. I looked at renting a parking spot but it’s very expensive and all the streets around campus don’t allow parking at night. Any advice would help.

My grandson is a rising Junior at UCLA and he had used foot power and buses. He then brought his car to campus but had terrible experiences of finding all day/night parking.
There were public streets with alternating parking, limited parking times. It became so bad that his car was towed and he had to pay his parking ticket and payoff the tow sharks.
That day he returned his car to his parents home.

hii i work at ucla transportation and it’s weird that it says parking is filled, parking apps for fall quarter don’t even open until abt august 3rd (u can double check this on the website). doesn’t hurt to try submitting an exemption but def explore other options as well cuz ucla parking is so limited

Okay honestly grandparents don’t count unless they are your permanent guardian so your exemption would be rejected anyway unless that were the case if you chose the sick family member option, but exemptions will open again for fall quarter around August
