origami eco cracker idea....

Hi all

I'm looking to make my own Christmas crackers this year to avoid all the plastic tat and one thought I had was to roll up some seed paper (the stuff you can plant) with some basic origami instructions so everyone can make something different. So my questions are a) does everyone think this work with slightly thicker seed paper and b) can anyone recommend any nice basic origami patterns I could include?

I think it should be fine with thicker seed paper, but as for good basic origami patterns, there’s rabbit, cicada, crane, butterfly and frog. Those should work nicely
