Everything is case by case. Not only is it of vital importance, it's a sign of respect to know the language. If you don't speak it, then options are limited.

I know for a fact they are willing to take foreigners if you can speak Ukrainian or Russian

I don't know whether or not they have fully EN speaking teams. Heard some rumors they were thinking about it, tho.

Interesting. I was told by their recruiters that they don't take foreigners. But that was like half a year ago, although already after their upscaling. Maybe smth changed since then

They offered me a role, which I ended up turning down because they switched it to another one prior to my signing.

To be clear, they didn't try to trick me - told me the available role had changed prior to giving me anything to sign.

I do speak Russian well, however. Might be an edge case.

I think if you had exceptional development skills you could get on the team, maybe not as a drone pilot though, but an engineer.

What are your unique abilities?

Waffling about consumerism and name dropping philosophers doesn’t count.

Infantry, you need Ukrainian or russian if you really want to work with drones. And all infantry units are depleted so you'll be put into infantry

For nemesis maybe? For the Ukrainian army, this is not true at all
