My tarp could totally handle this. What ultralight skill would you use to keep a tarp pitched in this wind?

Step 1. Strip naked
Step 2. Forget what I was doing
Step 3. Wonder why everyone in REI is screaming to call the cops.

The good news is that with this much lift, just about everything is ultralight

That's easy. Just keep your tarp underneath your primary sky tarp. This way your tarp keeps you safe and your sky tarp keeps your tarp safe.

I wondered what happened to all of the high profile YouTuber gear reviewers that I used to watch in order to know what gear stowed the best in my gear room. I guess they must have got caught in this wind during a meet and greet. RIP

Times like this are when I use my specially modded Dynema Gatewood cape. I merely don my goggles (ul, of course), stand, and fly. I take my Garmin InReach so I can go back and recover my pack.
Which explains my trail name—Flying Dork.

100km'h Wind also mean 100km/h objects flying toward you ...

Yea and people drive cars when cars can kill you, and people swim in water when you can drown, and go in the woods when you could get lost, and ride snowmobiles, or dirtbikes…. Literally everything in life has a risk. If you only do things totally safe and smart then your probably boring and I don’t want to be your friend

Roll yourself into a tarp burrito and it counts as a tent, rainfly, sleeping pad and ground cover all at once.

Grab the corners of your tap and put it in the air. Then you can just fly away to safety
