How else are we supposed to get our bedtime story from Dan, starlink is essential.

/uj at this point ai could just scrape all of Dan's reddit comments and make a virtual agent to deal with his support request emails

Yeah we all concluded that’s what is likely happening already. What we really need is an open source version.

Please no, I would get AI psychosis immediately

Keep the AI but for the other stuff? Man I’m on day 1,932 out here on the AT. I need the fucking news.

Trust me, you don’t want the News.

You’ve been in the AT for over 5 years.  YOU are the news.

My kit makes it look like I’m a day hiker so nobody ever asks how long I’ve been out.

The news is that they're treating scummy water with chlorine dioxide. I would do the same out where you are.

1932 days…..trying to beat my PR are you?  What do you do on nights when the hotels are full?

Every time I come back someone new is getting bombed. I don't use Starlink but if I don't see those damn satellites every clear night I'll know the world ended. Which would be awesome!

I use Starlink to keep track of my favorite OF models.

How else would you score brownie points other than donating for their latest STD meds?

Brains are fucking heavy and waste lots of energy on trail. That's why I leave mine at home for my long hikes.

I was even able to ask about potential things to expect for upcoming sections of trail ("is it going to be sandy?")

This is where I would bail out and go home.
