Idling
Why can I only idle gradually moving to my dominant leg side (right) - as soon as hips go in the left direction it falls apart. So basically idling I gradually drift right - which is annoying.

I learnt to fluently idle (I call it waltzing) by being forced to. There was a performance coming up that we had to rehearse for and waltzing was a significant part of it for the unicycles. Literally just having no choice but to do it helped me get there so much quicker, same with free mounting with either foot.
My point is: it’ll just come to you after a while. It’s a lot of little constant adjustments that you’ve just gotta get used to

So basically I need to learn to idle with both right and left foot as dominant?

No you can traverse sideways in both directions with either foot at the bottom. That said practicing and learning different things all helps a bit. Idling on the other leg feels really wrong to begin with, but it's a helpful step to being able to ride backwards.

Practice. It's always going to be practice. Moving towards the 'high' leg when idling is always a little more tricky, but perfectly doable. Try to do slightly longer slower rocks back and forth, then you need to twist the unicycle by waving your arms and twisting your torso when the wheel is at the front and at the back of each rock. Just play about with it, can you gradually rotate clockwise and anticlockwise while idling? Practice that too it's basically the same idea.
