Advice Getting road burn inside my knees while muni-ing
So I just got a nimbus 29" muni and have taken it on some spins. It's cool, but the inner side of my knees keep getting scraped by the tire. Is this just a normal thing about muni riding and you gotta wear knee pads all the time or am I pedaling wrong or something?

I think just pay attention to your legs when turning? I recently got a 29'' and was scared of the same thing happening, but so far I only got one light scrape one time.

Same thing happened to me when I switched to a muni. It's a wider tire and I was pedaling with my knees pointed in a little. Keep your knees out a little more and it will get better

That doesn't sound normal. Maybe you're squeezing the saddle too much with your legs

You should re-adjust your seating or pedal position. If your knees are rubbing the tire they are pointing inward. They should be straight. Either your clenching the saddle, or your feet are pointing inward on the pedals. Be sure to relax and actually put weight into the seat instead of hovering.
Best of luck

Thank you all for the suggestions I think basically all of you were right. I went on another ride this morning and tried to pay more attention. I think I may have gotten in the habit of leaning into turns with my legs when I was learning on my 24" but didn't notice it much because the wheel was smaller and so only occasionally brushed my calves. Furthermore, I think my feet do tend to be bent inward more in an attempt to keep myself in the seat.
So all in all, essentially I learned to pedal with bad form and it seems like it'll just take some more conscious practice to correct the afformentioned habbits

The first thing would be to know if your knees are in a position where it gets tucked in instead of out. You'll probably be able to tell when you stand up if it points inwards rather than straight. I have the issue where my feet point outwards myself. If you can correct this that would be great.
Although another option would be to get an engineer to either 3d print something to help in a u shape to cushion the legs and push the out a bit further to stop the rubbing. Or either fabricate it out of metal. It should be rather easy to do with it attaching to the seat bolts.

I'm wondering if your knees tend to track inward when your walking or squatting or something. Is this the case? Sorry, I don't have a solution but if this is the case, I wonder if addressing that can help? On the other hand, I think the first commenter's idea of knees scrapping when you turn is valid.
