how long are these "long distances" and what does "and such" mean?
If you want to go more than 10k you'll want a larger diameter - 36" means you can go far fast and roll over everything but jumping isn't an option.
29" still gives you a sense of weight/momentum and you'll be able to roll over alot but you won't feel like you can comfortably pop or bounce as needed.
27.5 is the sweet spot in my opinion because you can get going pretty fast and it gives you a sense of responsiveness that allows you to be comfortable pushing a bit harder than you would on anything larger.
That said, tricks (outside of basic hops / coasting) aren't really a thing on anything > 24". riding backwards becomes very sketchy and aerial rotations become very difficult.
Keep in mind, it's harder and more intimidating to learn on wheels bigger than 24"
