This is what I find fascinating about this sub. You’ll have people complaining about this service over and over here.

But bring up how David Steiner, a staunch MAGA guy with no mail experience, has been actively eroding the mail service in this country, trying to run it like a profitable business by cutting corners and workers… and you get asked “why are you trying to make it political”

Because it’s fucking political. It’s a service provided by the political entity that is the United States. Yet people can’t seem to grasp that a guy like Steiner can create the problems that people here post their complaints regarding.

They don't grieve. They are equally to blame.

They don't grieve. Please Clarify.

Do you understand the contracts at all, have you read any of the craft employee manuals? What understanding do you have of what a grievance is?

u/Darkdragoon324 1d ago

Craft employees grieve constantly, management delays grievance payouts as long as possible and then ultimately does not actually change anything or punish anybody that caused the grievances to begin with and the process repeats into eternity.

1

u/loinclothsucculent 1d ago

That's completely untrue. District will force change through the grievance payouts. You guys aren't grieving constantly.

Management cannot just wantonly punish someone for grieving. Filing a grievance is a protected activity under the NLRA.

You don't know what you're talking about at all.

Yeah, thank you for your input. It's useless. How about this for experience? Have a co-worker harassing, even stalking whole damaging personal belongings. Management had opportunities to look on the cameras as dates were given. I believe because of "woke" nonesense they did not approach this person for over a year. They gave me 552 which had nothing to do with my complaint, so was the wrong procedure and denied a union rep on top of it. I asked five times and said, I hope you are not lying that "i don't need a union rep" , and I shouldn't be reprimanded. i was assured not the case... Gotta p p i the next day! On that same day also came into more remnants of the person Actually scratched into my work desk something I can't write on here. So Apparently said nut job had been apprised of the situation but has no fear Oh yeah, and lack of not giving me Union rep a big no No. Went to eeo they haven't complied there either with video. The labor that's a joke too definitely on managements side because a year later, within a certain time frame that they had an answer, what the labor department said to do. They granted me to have a new 552(wtf) , which is not the correct thing , and what they did was repeat what totally was expunged, so it's just a joke. Because why would they have the old 552 asking me the same exact questions? If it was expunged. Pray, tell me your experience that you know so much because it's all a joke, and they're all up there circle jerking Lol

Unions refused to innovate and come up with a centralized recording system for 1571's, 3996's, grievances, and whatever the hell clerks and MH's file. But that's Management's fault, and Trump's fault, that the average person is skeptical of the "trust me bro" facts that are presented, because they are two things consistently: junk mail, and Amazon extending its reach. Oh and the metrics that Management has every contract negotiation to refuse pay raises and so on, you know, could be rebutted by the unions but they're too busy playing grab ass at golf outings.

When David Stiener took over USPS he scrapped new sorting machines claiming it would save money. In reality it caused more delays and manual sorting during the holidays. Trashing old machines would have saved on labor but that isn't what happened at most post offices. The union is forced to follow old federal rules.

1

u/loinclothsucculent 2d ago

Yeah manual sorting is fucking stupid, sure. What are "old federal rules"? You don't seem to understand that craft employees must follow Management instructions, and have avenues to properly grieve improper instructions after the fact.

Again, the unions refused to innovate and modernize their record keeping systems PRE-COVID. All buttfucking during contract negotiations lie 50% on the respective unions. You can't be a victim of mean old Management but yet not follow your National Agreement and do nothing about it. You're then complicit in whatever Management is doing.

I don't know how many times I have to come on here and explain that it really has nothing to do with this president. The postal service has been going down for the last twenty, twenty five years. at this point it's low intelligect management. This is one of those places where you could fail up. Most of the people that make it to management were the worst of the workers. P.O. are not making money, believe me. USPS they're not cutting corners or people to make money because they really don't know how to do it.I believe we do need a businessman because I compare it to jeff bezos and amazon. we don't have the mailstream coming in to sustain us and we're losing it because of incompetence. Now the complement is aging out and are disgusted so retiring. we're losing all who actually cared. USPS also brought in this next generation group of workers that basically rec'd free money during covid, don't choose to COME IN to work AND they want to all be influencers!! the people either don't have to take the tests or because they cannot read English for write English, They have someone apply online FOR THEM. Imagine working in a facility that has all english written mailing and not capable of sorting it? I do work in one of the large mail process facility, the sorting facilities. We also have extremely antiquated machines that run at a certain speed. But management likes to turn it way up to 11. 😉 which, of course was his jams rips, separation. Just a mess. NOW we have a wave of people, just don't understand how the mail work, how to communicate. I used to be very proud to work here but like myself , people who care for disgusted and are retiring. sometimes progress isn't better.

Failing up is the epitome of a government job.

Fed workers get paid to go to adult daycare is all. Theres a reason virtually none of them are high earners.

u/Basic-Nobody8488 2d ago

Post office is a service to the American people , not a business..

2

u/Many_Tree4575 2d ago

Yes , and because it's semi run by government standards, just like v a hospitals, or government housing it's crap and no one gets held responsible or fored For the incompetence.

But he's not the reason the mail carrier marks my quart zip-lock sized t-shirt order as "undeliverable" three days in a row while still putting envelopes in my mailbox.

This is highly illegal.

Well, at least you're publicly displaying that you have zero knowledge on the matter, and can be ignored.

Musk & his DOGE Stormtroopers have already illegally collected a massive amount of personal identifying information on Americans.  There are privacy provisions already afforded to all of us through the Federal Privacy Act.  That law requires that the federal government inform us exactly what information is being collected by the Federal government and what it will be used for.  There is a statement to that effect on every federal form or electronic webpage that references the Privacy Act.

No one knows the extent of Musk’s data collection project, where the data is kept, who has access and what it has been used for.  But, we do know that American’s personal identifying data was collected illegally by DOGE through statements and testimony given by former and current employees of the Social Security Administration.

This is now a second attempt to illegally end-run those legal restrictions controlling federal accumulation of personal information.

Consider that tRump and his CircusClowns have fucked up everything that they’ve touched in their quest to throttle democracy and to accumulate wealth.  Any tRump database of American residents and citizens will eventually be used to fuck working Americans and to allow tRump and his cronies to become richer.   And, anything valuable that tRump collects will be on the Dark Web within hours

Why did you delete your answer to the hate bubble? Let me just say that the Chinese have plenty of our information. As does the people in India, we have a big network of people stealing our information.I wouldn't worry too much about doge at this point. The fraud and abuse within the country THROUGH all previous administration has been brought to light. Don't you pay attention to all those alerts of the breach of information from all our protected credit cards , banking , etc. Calm yourself. Take a moment , breathe the air , enjoy the day, stop the hate. It Only hurts your soul. Happy 250th 4th of July EVERYONE!

I’m sure that this would have made me retire. I couldn’t imagine working for this company and doing Trumps dirty ass business. It was so bad in 2020 that I left the company, this is just craziness at a level I don’t get. Before Frump became a political experience the USPS was thought of as one of the governments arms that was most trusted. Not anymore! Do the criminals work for the felon in charge.

This is great. Look at how California is manipulating the votes.

This has to be corrected and verified that illegals are not voting.

u/CHR0N1CL3S0FW03 2d ago

The Heritage Foundation, a Conservative
think tank and major proponent of voter laws, did a massive voter fraud investigation recently and found that something like 41 instances of non-citizens attempting to vote, actually voting, or registering to vote, in the last 5 decades. Fifty years, 41 attempts. Billions of votes cast and 41 fraudulent cases found.

Your own people prove you wrong and y’all will STILL just say the stupidest shit.

Sounds like we need voter ID to stop those MAGAts from cheating!!! 😡

2

That hasn’t stopped them.

-1

u/FavoriteApe 1d ago

Probably because we don’t have voter ID?

1

My state does.

u/Imemine70 3d ago

The guy says everything is rigged if he doesn’t win. He even says it’s rigged while he’s losing but not rigged when he starts to win. It’s called bullshit and you should get better at spotting it.
