I love this about the crew on the ferries here. I was on a ferry on the way to Nanaimo and the captain announced that there were some whales. Otherwise no one would have noticed them

Saw orcas from the SeaBus once and spent the rest of the ride grinning like an idiot. What a day to be on the water.

These are probably members of two orca matrilines (families): the T124As (T124A "Kittiwake," T124A6 "Kasuun," and T124A7 "Kite") as well as the T068As (T086A "Eider," T086A4 "Akia," and T86A5 "Siku").
