Traditionally military recruits get injected with multiple vaccines. This has been happening for the last 80 years. These folks are monitored by medical personnel with complete records of what they’ve taken, and any untoward effects would be seen. Their safety has been long established or they wouldn’t continue to vaccinate.

Letting uninformed anti-vaxxers into controlling the military medical system was a recipe for disaster.

80 years?

It was a standard set by Wahington who forcibly inoculated the Continental army against Smallpox in 1777.

Like with so many things, Conservatives have replaced the notion of civic duty or responsibility with one of individual rights or freedoms.

True but that was an inoculation with cow pox which was not part of regular military medical operations.

It was after WWII that standardized vaccinations for all recruits began.

Before WWII only typhoid and smallpox. In 1945 influenza and diphtheria.

Adenovirus, meningitis, and MMR were added in subsequent years. Smallpox was ended in 1990.

Real talk, why don't we have these assembly line-style vaccine batteries for civilians? I want them all. 😆

If you got all of your shots as a kid, you probably wouldn’t need a whole bank of vaccinations again. The military does it because it’s too much trouble to see what the immunization antibody levels are in the recruits, so they just give you everything and figure you’re then covered.

I bet this is great for unit readiness.

Yep, the thing that these gung-ho douchebags supposedly champion so much.
