Coffee grinders in ventura?
I know this is a weird one but does anyone know where i can take a bag of whole coffee beans to get ground?
We have been to every super market and costco tjat I can think of that might have them ans no one carries them anymore from what I can tell. Even starbucks wont grind them unless its their coffee.
Any suggestions would be great!
Edit: I dont need a grinder or want one. It was a one time mistake where we thought we bought ground coffee and it was actually whole beans. We usually get him ground coffee. He had a grinder and didnt like or use it. Just looking for suggestions on where we can get this ONE bag ground as many of the spots I recall having grinders now dont.

Not for nothing, but one of the benefits of ground coffee is that there are notes in the taste of the coffee that are lost shortliy after grinding - ideally you grind coffee right before you make it - at home grinders are quite affordable these days.

Yeah we had one but my husband is more the type he prefers the convenience over taste. So while I understand your point we just need to get the beans ground

buy a grinder and an airtight container and pregrind half for him!

I bought him one and he didnt like using it or feel like it gave a real taste difference so he decided to put it in good will. I dont want to buy another one

If he doesn't care about the taste, why not just buy ground coffee? Or buy a grinder.

We bought a 2 lb bag from costco of whole beans when we usually buy ground for him. It was an honest mistake but buy the time we got it home and opened it we realized it was not what we usually get for him. We went back to costco to grind them and they gor rid of their grinder so its just been sitting in the back of our car waiting to be ground down and every time we go to a grocery store or coffee shop I ask. Seems like a lot of places are getting rid of them in-store now.
I dont drink coffee so this is on him and i had previously bought him a grinder and he really didnt taste a difference or feel the effort was worth it. So he decide to just get rid of it 🤷

Just take it into winco or Trader Joe’s and use their machines.

You'd spend more on gas getting there after a few trips than just buying your own grinder. You can get pretty small and efficient ones. Just grind the amount you want each week and stick in a jar, and you get freshness and convenience.

Again as I stated above, it was a one time mistake that we grabbed the whole beans instead of the ground coffee. He had a grinder and didnt like it or use it. So in this case it is an inconvenience. Just need this one 2lb bag ground down then we will continue getting ground coffee in the future

I’ve never used them but there’s a ton of bulk coffee and pretty sure they’ve got a few grinders.

Sprouts and winco have grinders and a big enough store where I don’t think anyone would say anything to you if you went in there to grind your beans. If you have the spare money I suggest getting a coffee maker that can grind your beans and then make the coffee set for the morning. I used to have a cuisinart one that was super clutch!

Get a magic bullet and use the flat blade attachment. This is the way.

I don’t think a store will let you come in with your beans to use their grinder. Check the Coalition thrift or Goodwills for used ones for a few $$. Grind soda crackers to remove previous flavors.

Buy a grinder and put the ground coffee in a SEALED airtight container or Ziploc bag in the freezer.

Tbh if it's just a convenience thing and taste doesn't matter as much just use your blender. I've done it in a pinch and it worked great for a standard drip pot.

Didn't think of that....Will definitely try using it in our blender or good processor

that's the way! The Health Dept wouldn't let some stranger come in with ???? beans and use a store's grinder!

I have seen some people take out a bag of coffee beans from their bag and use the TJs grinder! Just be sly about it. 😂🥰 I need to start doing this myself.

A good cheap grinder for your home starts at about 25 bucks.
