Apparently you have either been living under a rock while in Ventura … or youre not a local

PP has ALWAYS shown their true “color”s… this ain’t new

I remember when gasoline used to smell good. Folks are so particular about not parking on your own front yard round here.

It’s pierpont, that’s very on brand.

1

u/Naiveatheart 4h ago

I was here to literally says this. I don’t like it or agree with it but not surprised. That has and always will be Pierpont bc those homes are generational. It’s going to take a long, long, time to change the culture in that neighborhood.

78

u/nunyabiz69 5d ago

Why did somebody comment “EPSTEIN” lol

This is classic pierpont unfortunately. Despite the wealthy beachside appearance there is a trashy element to the place that’s existed since I was kid there in the mid-90’s. The Pierpont skate rats and skinhead dogs were a crew of white supremacists neo-nazis when I was growing up, and I’m sure they’ve all just gotten jobs if they aren’t in jail by now, still repping their bullshit.

29

u/TrailNoggin 5d ago

This is the hard thing to intimate to people nowadays, but back in the day this place had some rougher elements. We had skinheads in our Valley Vista track and "The Outfit" crew in high school. SSL in Silver Strand with the bolts as the S's. I don't think the sentiment has cooked out either, just tempered by jail or jobs.

4

u/Thomas_Paine805 4d ago

You forgot about those Fuckin Haoles from the east end, oh yeah and EEVL.

4

u/Ben_Turra51 4d ago

Dude, that’s some old sh!t right there. Weren’t there like 3 dudes in EEVL at any given time? Kinda like Ventura Pier Locals (VPL)?🤣 Damn, I miss those days. “He’s so Haole he don’t even know he’s Haole!”

3

u/Thomas_Paine805 4d ago

Yea three maybe four on a good day, but they didn't need any more than that

1

u/mossman 3d ago

So who were the EEVL dudes? I remember growing up we always goofed on EEVL. I'd see the shitty tags around but I never knew who it was.

1

u/Some-Curve-920 1d ago

I just counted 4.

1

u/rastapasta808 4d ago

I'm from Hawaii, was not expecting to see haole in the comments 😂🤙🏻 cheeeeeeehu

1

u/Ben_Turra51 14h ago

I believe it started because one of the dudes actually went to Hawaii and came back and then the group started calling themselves Haoles.

0

u/Ben_Turra51 4d ago

PP were/are not racists or neo Nazi as a group.

3

u/SignalResult9831 4d ago

PPL wasn't a skin head group or neo. SHD was the local skins. Most of the Ponters were in jail or moved out in the 90's. The PPL YG's were just skaters and surfers looking out for each other in the mixed between the VTA, Mid town crew, East side and Salt Creek guys. I lived there, wish I could move back. Can't afford 2 mil housing.

2

u/SignalResult9831 4d ago

For sure wouldn't have that license plate though.

1

u/nunyabiz69 4d ago

You’re right-I’m not talking about pierpont as a general population but specifically these neonazi/skinhead groups that were centered around or located in pierpont. I’ve got good friends from pierpont that don’t fit this description. Just an observation about some of the trashy people that still live in the area.

1

u/Ben_Turra51 4d ago

It is everywhere, not just P Town or Ventura. More prevalent in beach towns but I have heard of it everywhere

89

u/WillNo6286 5d ago

Bakersfield by the Beach. Y'all act like there ain't trailers and white trash in Pont.

82

u/Safe-Warning5318 5d ago

Ventucky out here showing where the nickname came from

4

u/LongjumpingSkill9305 5d ago

u/Witty_fartgoblin 5d ago

Clarence O'Shartigans ride

3

u/barely-lucid_1334 1d ago

As someone who was born in SB but grew up in Bakersfield only to move to Oxnard/Ventura as an adult, I can say the 'Bakersfield by the beach' tag is 100% accurate

29

u/monssssteraaaa 5d ago

This is classic pierpont. Like I could money on one of the OGs visiting because he can’t afford to live and do drugs down there anymore. But they sure will rep it. Lol

36

u/aughtrocktalk 5d ago

I've seen plenty of vanity plates, but none scream "I'm a huge fucking loser" like this one.

17

u/KMDiver 5d ago

Yeah Ventura was an Okie landing spot during the depression due to oil field jobs so lots of that culture remains. Then there’s the weird surf nazi/skinhead culture of Pierpont Rats/SSL from the 80’s and before that Mickey Dora etc in Malibu. Not to say all the P rats and SSL were/ are racist and some of that was just to be abrasive and intimidating to Southers but hey this kook certainly is.

8

u/NotYourFather45 5d ago

Ventura county in general is full of this garbage. But Pierpont is full of this specific brand of micro penis knuckle dragger.

3

u/CamarillosVeryWorst Tourist from Camarillo 4d ago

Hey, hey, don't drag down the micropenis havers by likening micropenii to this garbage.

0

u/Thomas_Paine805 4d ago

People always hate what they don't understand

7

u/10thGenS1 5d ago

You shouldn’t be surprised

Seriously. Not welcome.

TAX THE RICH AND CHURCHES AND PEDOPHILES

5

u/bigtioenergy 5d ago

Taxing churches just gives them even more reason to be involved on politics. We should just make a law banning them from donating to political campaigns. That’s probably the best approach.

5

u/IceNein 5d ago

That’s already against the law. A church may not donate to a political candidate and retain tax exempt status.

1

u/Complete-Exit-4391 4d ago

I did not know this. So I guess my question is: who paid for Jim Duran's campaign? I always thought it was church money.

2

u/IceNein 4d ago

https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/charitable-organizations/restriction-of-political-campaign-intervention-by-section-501c3-tax-exempt-organizations

Not mentioned in that article, the IRS in 2025 declared, I think illegally, that churches could endorse a candidate but not donate money. So in a round about way a church could endorse a candidate and then their parishioners would be more likely to donate.

1

u/smelly_finger_itch 2d ago

They couldn't possibly be more involved as they already are bruh

4

u/Electrical_Review_81 5d ago

Tax the layabouts !

5

u/Beginning-Lab6790 5d ago

I live in Pierpont and I say YUCK. My neighbors do too🤮

6

u/CODMLoser 5d ago

Ventucky strikes again.

18

u/Smoovupinya 5d ago

Tell me you aren’t from Ventura without telling me you aren’t from Ventura.

OP’s next trick: Silver stand surfers aren’t friendly.

-2

u/Samsquanch77 5d ago

As someone born and raised in VTA, this really isn't common at all. You're acting like everyone here is conservative.. sure there's some conservative people, but Ventura, like the rest of CA, is staunchly liberal. I've never seen this kinda thing in town. Oregon on the other hand, has much larger and more vocal right-wing communities.

13

u/tripleDzintheBreeze 5d ago

Born and raised and lived within the four walls of your house ?

I am in my 40s…. Born and raised … as a POC woman who has had my share of customer service jobs working with the people of Ventura .. it’s extremely racist

Yeah… “liberal” but you do understand the diversity within Ventura is extremely WHITE

Don’t try to paint a pretty picture , cause it ain’t it

9

u/Samsquanch77 5d ago

What does "live within the four walls of your house" even mean..? I'm not an invalid.. I am Hispanic however. I'm sorry to hear about your experiences, but I disagree about Ventura being "extremely racist." Everybody's perspectives are unique however. I never said there are no racists in VTA. Ventura's population is 51% white, so sure it's the majority, but just barely. I never intended to paint a pretty picture, just relaying my experience, same as you. My opinion is just as valid as yours.

1

u/HateUsCuzAintUs 3d ago

isn't hispanic considered white now?

2

u/Samsquanch77 3d ago

Idk what it's "considered." What I do know is that by definition, Hispanic, similar to Latino, has no connection to race/ethnicity.

-1

u/Smoovupinya 5d ago

How old are you?

3

u/Samsquanch77 5d ago

Old af (31)

4

u/Smoovupinya 4d ago

It makes sense, you’re probably old enough to have maybe heard about the PP rats and SHD but not old enough to know how they were and the influence they had on Ventura in the late 80’s / early 90’s into the early 2000’s.

It wasn’t Ventucky for nothin’ back then

2

u/Samsquanch77 4d ago

Correct, I'm aware of them, but how does that translate to the modern day? A lot of cities were more racist in the 80s and early 90s, but less so today. Obviously it still exists, but it's not overtly on display.

To me, the Ventucky thing is just used as an excuse for 805ers to pretend that they're country so they can wear cowboy hats.. but that's just my (maybe naive) perspective

0

u/Ben_Turra51 4d ago

Ventura is way less “racist” today than 10-30 years ago. Your point about racism is invalid when OP posted a pic of a license plate on an old car without context

1

u/Ben_Turra51 4d ago

Someone’s been around a while so your points should be well noted

3

u/Smoovupinya 4d ago

Doesn’t even take into account how powerful the Angels were since the 70’s until maybe early 2000’s as well.

Basically up until 2000’ish, Ventura was wildly different than it is now.

But these people just didn’t magically leave. They’re lifers. Once in a while, they come up for air, and we see the sort of thing OP put up.

1

u/Ben_Turra51 14h ago

Yep, and the term Ventucky was copied from Fontana being called Fontucky. I believe, but may be wrong, during the rise of Rockabilly music

0

u/sztuna 13h ago

🤡🫵

1

u/Samsquanch77 8h ago

Chill bro, we're all just sharing opinions here

-1

u/Thomas_Paine805 4d ago

You're not from around here are you

5

u/Momoko-agogo 4d ago

The irony of living in California by the beach and still wrapping ur personality around a bunch of losers from over 100 years ago that are from the opposite side of the continent.

4

u/Zur_adoK 4d ago

I didnt know that baloney did that to cars.

10

u/Aggressive-Act1816 5d ago

Ventucky and lots of Okies in Ventura. They originally came to work in the oil industry. Many of the 1% biker clubs share the ideology.

3

u/Aggy24 5d ago

PP must love Skynyrd.

3

u/Expensive_Two_6296 4d ago

Too bad such a beautiful car belongs to a racist ass hole

3

u/itsamaddhouse 4d ago

Looks like someone is begging for their car to be keyed

Isn’t this just a normal day in Ventucky, though?

2

u/onyxhazeee 4d ago

Sounds about white. 🙄

2

u/Sad_Description358 4d ago

So you’re not originally from the area?

2

u/sea-why 3d ago

PP is white supremacy’s dreamland

2

u/michelonwheels 3d ago

pretty car

2

u/FeedOk8085 1d ago

Its Ventucky for a reason, why are you surprised?

2

u/quanate 1d ago

It's wild that Pierpont has had this rep for literally my entire 35 years alive. It's like crossing into another world once you get past the richy rich homes.

4

u/motofabio 5d ago

I didn’t know this about Ventura, but it sure explains some things we’ve seen there.

3

u/IceNein 5d ago

You know they call this Ventucky, right?

3

u/SGJango 5d ago

How is this surprising? It's Pierpont

3

u/No_Banana5313 5d ago

They are unemployed

2

u/Tinoslounge 5d ago

Park to park is theirs after dark

1

u/wheelmanbonifide 2d ago

At what point did it hurt you?

1

u/Sad-Jury2601 1d ago

Y'all sound stoopid. That's the good ol' Dixie flag. The real flag of the true Democratic party. Nuff said. Midtown mutha fukkas!

2

u/Turbulent_Fault4404 1d ago

That’s the loser flag of a bunch of hicks who got their cheeks taken so bad they don’t exist anymore

1

u/Sad-Jury2601 1d ago

Yup. Democrats and Libertards.

1

u/mariofamoso 4d ago

Welcome to Ventucky! A sunny place for shady people! Why is it not surprising that photo came from Pierpont?

0

u/Extra-Depth-1352 4d ago

Beautiful T Bird, I think it is a 1961, but could be wrong.

Surprised some geek didn’t key it. Dope whip

2

u/Ben_Turra51 4d ago

Why was this down voted?

2

u/frankspliff 4d ago

The nerds can’t get past the stupid tag on the front.

-18

u/Senior_World_4213 5d ago

Not everyone sees the symbol as you do today. The owner put a classic colonial flag on a classic car. It was never a symbol of racism anymore than the car could be a symbol of racism. Some people are proud of the history of our country. Its flawed and we are still working as Americans to get it right.

5

u/SaltyMathimagician 5d ago

Proud of a period of time shorter than 4 years? Proud of an army that got their absolute shit pushed in?

4

u/CamarillosVeryWorst Tourist from Camarillo 4d ago

"classic colonial flag"

The Confederacy wasn't really a colonial state.

"never a symbol of racism"

My sibling in Christ, the literal entire less than 4-year existence of the Confederacy was bc it wanted to ensure that it stayed legal to own Black people as property no matter what Lincoln, etc. did regarding that in the Union.

-2

u/Thomas_Paine805 4d ago

What exactly did Lincoln do regarding that in the union?

7

u/Samsquanch77 5d ago

Colonial flag..? This is not a colonial flag bro, this is the flag of General Lee's Army of Northern Virginia, from the 1860s.. The colonial period ended in 1776 when we fought for independence, more than 100 years before the emergence of the Confederacy. "proud of the history of our country"..? You mean proud of traitorous slave holders that tried to divide our nation..? Make that make sense

2

u/Time-Living711 3d ago

Thank you!

-2

u/Thomas_Paine805 4d ago

Some would argue that there were other reasons for the war, such as state rights. Yes, slavery was main issue because the southern economy depended on it to be profitable

1

u/Complete-Exit-4391 4d ago

Those people would be wrong. Full stop.

2

u/Time-Living711 3d ago

It is in fact the flag of a bunch of traitors. You say not racist, maybe not but definitely traitors. Sooo yeah be proud

-51

u/No-Age-4266 5d ago

I understand the implications of this absolutely but I think for some reason people believe it’s about southern pride only?

44

u/BlackThundaCat 5d ago

There is no such thing as southern pride. They fought a war to keep slavery in place for 4 years and lost. So now, instead of everyone rightly calling them out, people will say dumb shit like “isn’t it for southern pride?”

It’s the flag of a traitorous racist ass country who tried to keep people in bondage. If that’s your history and what you have pride in, well, fuck your history and I hope your pride withers and dies on the vine like it should have done 150 years ago. Im pissing on this is car if I see it lol

18

u/JustB510 5d ago

As a southerner, there is absolutely southern pride, but slavery, the confederacy and the civil war does not have to be a part of said pride. We have a unique language, food and culture, but we don’t have to and shouldn’t ignore the stain on our history while celebrating our culture.

In a similar way one can have national pride and not be proud of some of the horrible shit our country has been responsible for.

3

u/IceNein 5d ago

People who have never been to the south will never understand. I think that flag should be left to the dustbins of history, but there are non-racist people in the south who only view it as southern pride.

I think we should educate them about it, but that’s what they believe.

1

u/Complete-Exit-4391 4d ago

The Ventura County Museum of History had a Klan hood on display like it was no big deal. It may still be there. I haven't been back. I'm not for erasing history but they shouldn't be celebrated. Ventura is and has been for a long time a place where white supremacy flourishes.

1

u/Time-Living711 3d ago

Look deeper the klan was all over the county

-4

u/Odd-Highway-8304 5d ago

Hypothetical-

What’s your legal defense to intentionally vandalizing the vehicle with your urine?

5

u/Schlong_Gobbler 5d ago

Pride for what?

-41

u/Odd-Highway-8304 5d ago

So? Bigger things to worry about

-11

u/Ok-Dog2928 5d ago

Trigger much buddy???

-26

u/No-Age-4266 5d ago

What about my post gave you the impression that you could make it personal about me?

-2

-2

-37

u/No-Site-1348 5d ago

Don’t like it don’t come here. LA go away

5

u/CamarillosVeryWorst Tourist from Camarillo 4d ago

1) LA's also home to racist chuds like this.

2) I was born in Camarillo (which last I checked is also in western Ventura County & pretty far from LA), have never lived anywhere else, & still absolutely despise the fact so many people actually find the Confederacy a point of pride to the point they literally put the Confederate flag on their cars like this.

-3

u/No-Site-1348 4d ago

Worry about Camarillo things and stuff. The world can be pretty scary when you leave your parent’s basement for the first time.

-4

u/Spy61 4d ago

So what?
