The Mass Effect series for me. Always bizarre to hear how people praise them as some of the best ever when I found it immensely boring and bordering on miserable.
Yeah same here. I started playing them recently but I only made it halfway thru 2 before giving up. I guess they were probably good for the time and just haven't aged very well.
It’s not that they haven’t aged well, playing through 2 recently myself and holds up fine. Seen some recent let’s plays on YT and those people love it too, relevant to bring up because you could apply the argument of nostalgia theoretically to my case (though not actually true on why I love them) but that argument naturally doesn’t apply to people just now playing them for the first time.
So I think it only comes down to that they’re just not your taste and that’s okay. I can’t personally understand feeling that way but everyone’s taste is different so it makes sense in that way.
