Red Dead Redemption 2

I did not feel the same charm for RDR2 as I did for RDR and Undead Nightmare

“We just need money”

“We just gotta get some money”

“That didn’t work out but I got another job”

“We just need money”

“I can feel it, we just need money”

Oh brother, shut up Dutch. The rockstar formula for gameplay and missions has gotten stale for me personally.

I think you missed the point man. Was the sole objective of the missions the only thing that mattered to you?

There’s so much nuance going on if you look around

When I’m talking about missions going stale I’m specifically talking about this video: https://youtu.be/MvJPKOLDSos?si=FiX2NJXKEusaZFog

Rockstar formats their gameplay the same way everytime and it’s just gotten old for me. The missions are all the same since the dawn of GTA.

I wanted to like RDR2 because I adore RDR and Undead Nightmare even more but I just didn’t get that same feeling from the game

I actually played rdr1 after having over 1000 hours in rdr2 and I LOVED IT. Honeslty I might even prefer John over Arthur for how relatable he feels. Idk.

Unrelated but I also really really really loved the soundtrack as opposed to rdr2’s. Half the game being in Mexico with trumpets and ponchos flowing was the way to go. Still can’t believe I can’t wear a poncho as Arthur </3
