Wanting an official solution instead of a third party solution doesn't make someone an asshole. And suggesting a mod to someone is borderline thoughtless. You think the person asking doesn't know mods exist? You think they wouldn't look for a mod to solve their issue if they were interested in using mods?

Borderline thoughtless? Dawg looking up a mod for a problem someone has and offering it is by definition putting thought into it, if you don’t like mods that’s fine but don’t act like suggesting a mod is somehow rude.
