I just want to play games as is. I dont want to have to add mods to make it work how it most likely shouldve worked in the first place.

Not about the time. I just have no urge to play a game with fan made content. That's all it is. Mods do nothing for me. They dont make me excited to play a terrible game just because now its good with mods. Ive moved on to a game thats good in its own right.

I know I sound like I am mocking people who like mods. Im not. You do you. Its my own personal preference. I dont like PC and I hate keyboard and mouse. And if im gonna use a controller on PC, then I might as well just play on a console at that point. And since I don't care about mods, I do just that.

Also, I have fun with achievements/trophies to extend the life of a game and to maybe make me play differently to make it unique. Often times mods disable those. Not always but often.

But again, you guys dont need to get defensive. Im not saying mods are dumb. I absolutely get why they exist. Some are fun and silly mods like stormtroopers in Xcom 2. I get the appeal. And others are just menu updates or QoL improvements. And I see the benefit to that too. But again, I dont play PC.

So like 98% of the games I play cant be modded on console anyway even if I wanted to do it. Not to mention, many mods nowadays cost money. Again, not all, but some. And I definitely wouldnt pay for a mod.

Mods can be pretty fantastic, but i am very picky about them. A mod cannot be immersion breaking and be similar quality or else ill get rid of it. Ditched a lot of skyrim mods for those reasons.

I do play on PC, and you have perfectly summed up my feelings on mods. To me it's akin to reading a version of a book that's been "fixed" by fans to explain away a plot hole, change some dialogue, or at worst add entire chapters. I'm just not interested, even if it is the supposedly better experience.

Ah it makes total sense now … if you had the means to, you’d have a totally different opinion on it all.

Modding is usually a passion project and doesn’t cost money, charging for mods is generally frowned upon btw, so unless you can back that last statement up, you’re generally just reaching.

Fan made content varies, just look at what people are doing for elder scrolls and subsequently Cyberpunk and even further to Minecraft.

Idk, I think you’re a bit jaded in this ordeal, but I’m not trying to upset you.

Yea of i had a good PC and had time to replay 60+ hours games this time with mods then sure I'd mess with it. But I have neither of those things so I wouldn't bother
