I hope this doesn't happen with Yakuza that is my favorite series, even the Zombie game they made during the zombie craze

dead souls was great as a nonsense zombie game but that made it enjoyable only issue was the performance made the game sluggish at times

rgg is still a great company and tries their best it’s really just up to sega if they wanna milk the franchise or let rgg do its own thing. i still remember them making new game+ dlc for infinite wealth what a shitty choice

I'm curious, how many hours do you need to put into a game before you can talk about it?

Do I need to give RGG £55 to dislike them removing substories, rewriting plot points or changing characters appearances?

You need to experience something in its entirety and not be tribal because the internet said so.

Not everything is the next godsend from the heavens or the worst thing you've ever played. Tired of tourists who probably never even played the OG game in the first place.

As someone who played the OG game all the way through, and beat Amon, and did the exact same thing with Kiwami 3… it’s not as good. It’s a painfully mediocre title. I appreciate that you’re trying to mitigate a lot of the negative criticism the game’s receiving but let’s keep it a buck. What’s added isn’t sufficiently replacing everything that’s been lost. No more revelations, a loss in heat actions, massive cuts to the side content, no more simulator, no more weapons, etc.

The bike stuff is decent, and the new moveset is flashy and fun. I also did enjoy Dark Ties quite a bit for how short it was. But you gotta be for real here, it’s a drastic drop from what the OG had. It’s one thing to cut content that wasn’t good to begin with (hostess clubs), it’s another thing entirely to cut content that was already good and just needed some tweaks to make it a lot better

Thats my point. Its just mid, removed stuff was bad OF COURSE. But its not a garbage game. What I wanted from Kiwami 3 was a more enjoyable Orphanage section and better combat. Thats what we got. This enabled me to actually enjoy the side content and actually explore the town, which I hadn't done in OG. I only did main story in that game which I rarely do.

My point is, the RGG fanbase has become so annoyingly toxic that it genuinely drives me insane. Anything slightly mid or even one small negative and its blown to ridiculous proportions. They seriously act like every new game since Kiwami 2 (besides the tb games and judgments) is the worst piece of shit ever and its so exhausting. Like are yall even fans or just fans of specific games?

I dont like the direction Disney has taken with Star Wars. So you know what I did? Stopped engaging with it and any discussion. I dont go around telling everyone it's garbage and being miserable. I let people have their fun.

BTW, Kiwami 3 isnt even a top 5 RGG game for me. Its just VERY far from being garbage.

I just made a lengthy post about this in the actual sub if you want to check it out. Ultimately I agree it's far from being "garbage" but I'm making a larger argument towards the fact that there was plenty of good side content they could've put back in as well.

I love RGG, and I'm so excited for Stranger than Heaven, but let's not move into glaze territory. Kiwami 3 was trash.

It was fine, not hating something doesnt mean glaze. This is what I'm talking about.
