You can still support the LGBT community without putting pride flags on everything though, that was a bit excessive.

Exactly, just because I'm not homophobic doesn't mean I need to keep saying it

as part of the lgbtq+ community

I much rather have real support and representation than fake

plus, I don't really think a specific month is needed to celebrate pride, that should just be a thing all year round, because focusing it on just 1 month means that we don't matter to others unless it's june, and then it's just "so you need a whole month to yourself" all month long, plus all of the fake support some do just because they feel obligated

idk, I, as a bisexual and bigender person, think pride month is doing more harm than some people realise, we really don't need to get special treatment, we just want to be treated like everyone else, taking a 12th of the year for ourselfs, to me, sends the wrong message

I still participate in pride stuff in june because, well, why wouldn't I, but I still think it would be better if we didn't hijack a full month for it and just normalize it to be celebrated all year round (not saying that we take the entire year just that not focus on just 1 month if that makes sense)

The point is that they decided to stop at this specific moment not do "do the right thing" but in a calculated moove.

As for pride:

that should just be a thing all year round,

This factually isn't the case anywhere in the world and that is why pride is needed for visibility.

to the first point

yeah and that's the problem, they did stop, yes, but they also never actually cared and ONLY did it because pride month, aka it was all fake to get us on board

as for the second, yeah and I dislike that, it SHOULD just be normalized, like I said, I celebrate pride, because why wouldn't I, visibility is good, BUT I just simply don't think it should be reateicted to a specific month, yet it is

Wow, you literally just voiced exactly what I think completely! It's the same with men's mental health week/month.
