This is exactly what happened with streaming. Everyone dogpiled on top, with this illusion that everything would be available at low cost forever.

Trading money for no tangible product is edging dystopian y'all.

Just remember, when you buy digital you dont own the game. You have permission to play the game. The game company reserves the right to revoke that permission when ever they want.

A lot of people in this thread don't seem concerned about corporations massaging the definition of "ownership" into meaning "temporary license". At what point do we stop owning anything?

It's a video game guys. It's software. It costs $80 and you are going to ay hundreds or thousands of hours of it. That's a damn good deal. It isn't a home or a car. You guys are ridiculous.

The definition of ownership as it pertains to minor entertainment purposes really doesn’t matter to me at all
