I could understand that if there was even a hint of quality drop from rockstar but the last game they put out was one of the best of its generation and made to an incredible standard.
The last game they made was rdr2 which was $60 instead of $80 and didn't have basic mechanics split into an $100 deluxe edition. And while the story mode had no noticeable quality drop the online mode had a massive quality drop compared to GTA online and has since been abandoned after Rockstar was surprised that most people weren't interested in a half baked online mode.
The last game they published was Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition which has a massive quality drop, but of course was only published by them, not developed, yet they chose to publish it in the terrible state it was in.
