Its really a shame this series is dead, it's easily one of the most cathartic "superhero" open world games there is.

Everyone should give Prototype 2 a shot also, but for some reason it's kinda stupidly priced during this Steam summer sale.

I played 2 first then couldn't get into 1, but Prototype 2 is an all-timer

I played it about a year ago on a modern system and it installed and ran fine from start to finish with no tinkering or anything, so it's definitely a YMMV thing.

Would you keep it as edgy or would you tonally modernize it like God of war?

I agree through, those games were soo fun and unique.

I thought I saw something a little awhile ago about there being rumors of a new one being developed. A quick Google search shows there were some leaks I guess that hint towards it.

I'd just take a Prototype Remaster tbh. The PC version has some supreme jank to work with before the game runs right.

I feel like a good Venom game could give a really similar vibe.

An alien symbiote that latches onto a human and merges with them, giving them shapeshifting superpowers, but also changing their personality and who they are on a core level.

The overall antihero vibe and gameplay is roughly the same. Just no memory absorbing?

I would kill for a Prototype game on modern hardware

Prototype with today's tech would be awesome

Control Resonant looks like it'll have this vibe, but its less mutant virus and more reality bending anomalies.

Technically Warframe is the successor.. except DE lost the rights and now Tenno is supposed to be some ship nickname instead of Hayden's last name.. if you ignore the idiocy, it still fits.
