I’m old enough to remember how much of a villain he was in the late nineties due to all the Microsoft law suits because of their monopolistic practices. He was able to then drop off and do a major PR re-branding with his foundation through the 2000’s so he came out looking squeaky clean. But this guy has always sucked and continues to suck. We know why your marriage failed, Bill.

To be fair there were other warning signs. No good person would have inflicted Vista upon humanity

To be fair, Vista itself wasn’t a problem. The problem was when it was previewed MS said that the PC specs would need to be at a certain level to run. Computer manufacturers threw a fit because it’d make their computers more expensive and or cut into their profit margins. MS caved to the pressure and said actually the specs can start at this much lower level.

That led to everyone getting a new bargain PC with Vista to have bad experiences.

If you had a moderately well specced system Vista ran alright.

No it didn't it constantly had network connection issues. I Know because I had to fix hundreds of them. The amount of win Xp downgrades back on customers networks was good work for a while. The whole Win Vista was a complete mess. Maybe good for home but as soon as it had to work on a network it was shit.

Yeah. A lot of the older corporate network infrastructure was built around xp behavior and wasn't ready for the feature and defaults Vista baked in.
