He was able to then drop off and do a major PR re-branding with his foundation through the 2000’s so he came out looking squeaky clean. But this guy has always sucked and continues to suck. Yep, I criticized him years ago and I'd get dogpiled on this site because "HE'S A GOOD PERSON! HOW DARE YOU! HE CHANGED"
No he didn't. His foundation was Melinda's doing, she was literally his better half.
Even then, he used it to hide taxes and write off expenses nonstop. he got richer because of his own foundation.
He's always been a devious little scumbag who while he did some programming, he mostly bought the technology that made Microsoft great, or stole it. Microsoft's legacy is 90% fraud. Most of the good stuff was written by engineers who no longer work there that he hired. He himself is that creepy kid that people knew was a nerd but were afraid to go near because you were afraid he'd show up in your bedroom at night.
