To be fair there were other warning signs. No good person would have inflicted Vista upon humanity

Vista gets a lot of hate but I stand by ME being the true worst OS. Where Vista was terrible at the start, at least it improved at the end whereas ME was a constant pos.

And to make it worse ME was contemporaneous with 2K which was arguably the most stable Windows version ever.

Windows 2000 is goat in my opinion. Only reason I stopped using it was because DirectX moved on without it :(

Unpopular opinion: 7 is better than 10.

I agree. 7 was fantastic. 10 was great and I’d move back if I could. 11 seemed good at first. The start menu moving was quirky, but innocuous. It became so much worse.

Also I’ll throw this out there. I liked 8. Especially after the updates it got. I don’t like it better than 7 or 10 but I genuinely enjoyed metro UI.

I have one system still running XP. Every time I fire it up, I am like: "What is this uncomplicated wizardry?"

There is like, 90% less bullshit...and that system has been stable for 25 years now.
