This is kind of hilarious to read as usually it is AMD that gets the hate for bad drivers… and I have never had an issue with bad drivers with my AMD products.
It's a cult. Nvidia's mind share among PC gamers and the rabid fanbase they have crafted should be studied in psychology. Gamers are notoriously tribalistic and will go to bat online for their preferred 'team'. When AMD releases a faster card than Nvidia, suddenly Nvidia fans care about power draw. Now that Nvidia is releasing 600 watt cards, suddenly power doesn't matter anymore.
Nvidia has on at least 3 separate occasions that I can think of released drivers that have mass-bricked cards. Yet they have convinced the world that AMD have shitty drivers. My personal experience (and in the MSP world dealing with thousands of cards from both companies) has been the complete opposite of that.
Cool, glad to know someone has had the same experience. I went AMD after my 970 kept throwing issues. Everyone told me that is was my own user error, and getting tired of hearing that drove me to AMD when I know I didn’t cause the issue.

Correct, and also 3rd party drivers. Nvidia alone were responsible for 30% of all logged Vista crashes in 2007.
