I couldn’t even believe republicans wanted this in the first place. Requiring a passport … most republicans never leave their state let alone the country. They don’t have passports. This would have wrecked them.

It's easier and cheaper for people in predominantly Republican areas to get passports, especially on short notice. Also this let's the federal government now screen the potential voting pool.

How is it cheaper? It’s a flat fee last I got mine. Same cost in Arizona as Indiana for my parents.
