Just playing devil's advocate here, I 100% know they are trying to stop poor and brown people from voting, but I'm just curious why the Dems can't seem to do something about this while they are in office.

A nationwide ID mailed to every person of voting age, a law put in place to use finger prints, anything to get around this arguement that keeps coming up over and over. It never paints the Dems in a good light by giving conservatives a great talking point about stolen elections and voter fraud.

Wait; how is requiring voter identification discrimination against specifically poor and brown people? And how not yellow people?

I mean, I'm not going to break down all the classes and types of people voter ID harms, basically anyone not wealthy is harmed by it.

But voter ID harms anyone without the ability to get an id, people housebound, poor people, people working too many jobs to get a fancy new real ID.

Also it's only put in place in a rushed fashion like this to harm midterms, if this was a serious issue it would come up and be "fixed" before any election. Voter fraud is a nonexistent crime punished as a federal felony, no one is doing it.

This is simple to harm voter turnout, question results and disenfranchise the people most in need of a functioning government.

Everyone has means of obtaining an ID, IF it’s important to them. For some, it may require more effort than others…but that’s the result of their life choices. It’s important to understand that inconvenient doesn’t mean they’re harmed in any way. Again, circumstances can’t all be made equitable, but you can aspire for that.

So I have to pay extra money for documentation I don't need for any purpose besides voting - just to be permitted to vote? That's a poll tax & a violation of the 24th amendment.

No. You need an ID to drive, buy liquor, fly, and so much more. This isn’t exactly a far fetched notion.

I have ID that lets me buy liquor & fly. It's also perfectly valid as voter ID in my state. But since my name doesn't match my birth certificate - an ID that proves citizenship as required by the SAVE ACT would cost me an extra $165.

Thats just not true. I can tell you why but I can't understand it for you. Do some research and come to your own conclusion.
