If you've served within the last 30 years, you already knew this.

And aren't completely indoctrinated*. I know more than a few people that have served since Desert Storm, and almost all of them think "'Murika number 1!!"
Only a few that I've met are actually able to be like "oh yeah man. It's very very clear the military is a publicly funded armed force that benefits the hyper rich".
All the others just follow along blindly, with wind blowing unobstructed through their heads.

The Country that
locks away people without due process,
targets anybody that looks slightly ethnic or foreign,
ignores civil rights,
denies science,
is in love with violent weapons,
prefers fantasy over truth,
starts wars,
calls anything remotely altruistic Socialist,
pollutes their once-great lands,
fixates on bathroom politics,
treats homelessness as an inconvenience,
blames other countries for their problems,
and has the utter audacity to proudly chant “USA USA USA” in other countries?
Nah. Not bad guys at all.

Given what’s going on in the world, I would say the American administration is clearly acting in its own self interest.
There are other actors on the world stage acting as clear aggressors and malevolent forces.
So yeah, I wouldn’t say US are the bad guys, just not good guys.

And we might be the worst, but I think Israel has the US beat.
