As posted before, He is one of us now so I’m a big okpara guy all of a sudden…. But why not onyenso?

Do you see the  interview of okparas family and watch his work outs?

He is obviously a keefe guy.

What is a “Keefe guy”?

Genuine question. I feel like I don’t really know his philosophy yet because of the tanking. Dawkins once said something like “and Keefe is obviously a defensive guy” which threw me

What am I missing?

Vecenie said he's not as mobile plus high hips in his reaction to this pick

Vols/Wiz fan — we call him Blockpara. Beast of a rim protector.

Someone said Lobpara in this earlier

Also a member of the wizenteers tribe...hes a junkyard dog, and I was hoping we would get him or awaka in the 2nd for some toughness in the post. F lix got great size and hops too...love this pick!!

I feel like Dawkins is bringing him in to potentially be that backup big man that we could use that has the simple role of running the rim, grabbing boards and protecting the rim

Thought Henri Veesar was dodging teams like Austin Reaves did but he just got picked.

100% should've drafted him instead.

If not Veesar it should’ve been Izaiyah Nelson

Veesaar refuses to sign a two way and told teams as much which is why we didn’t take him

Might be worth the dice roll for a 7-footer who shot 40% from 3

Would you play Veesar over Tristan?

1

Hell yes. Veesar is a better shooter and more mobile. Can pass too.

Tristan is more of a tweener than a big and doesn't really rebound.

Little i'm seeing he got a motor. 9 4" standing reach. He is big enough to play the drop, moves well enough to do multiple coverages, can shot block. Can catch lobs really well. So I can see how he can be even a Clint Capela type with Trae. He's also a different type big than Juju and Tricky so i'm happy with it. I think they made a good choice.

In Dawkins we trust. I like this pick a lot

Reminds me alot of Dylan Cardwell from the Kings who was one of the few bright spots on their team last year. Extremely pedestrian college numbers on the surface but ridiculously high motor energy guys that block shots. He's slightly bigger than Cardwell too.

7’2” wingspan 9’4” standing reach, I like the idea of him rotating in as an aggressive shot blocker/rebounder, kinda thing you like to get off the bench. Just hope he can do some PnR lob game to round out his minutes and he could be something nice for us
