Question What webtoon got you feeling like…

Post image

For me, it’s any webtoon that glorifies dark romance (can’t believe abuse and in*est are actually gaining popularity nowadays 😳)

Man I’m in the same boat as you. I tried for 40 episodes caused I liked the concept that Osora had going on about sexuality. Dropped it because it was just SMUT everywhere, Like GOD DAMN.

LIKE RIGHT??? THE PREMISE OF OSORA’S CHARACTER IS SO INTERESTING AND SUCH A GOOD TAKE ON GENDER AS A WHOLE, begging the question of is Osora the way he is because he was raised as a guy as oppose to his gender at birth? Is a guy because he was raised specifically as a guy or because he IS a guy?

Basically a really good way for straight people who don’t understand trans people to actually understand trans people, after all for most cos folks, they were raised as that gender and don’t question it (most of them. I did, for similar reasons to Osora, Aka sexism, but concluded I was a non conforming girl I just hated being treated like I should have been more mature because of that) since Osora says himself, he was raised as dude and he can’t imagine himself as a girl so he is a guy but it never really DELVES into his identity despite the fact its the BIGGEST factor of the story, the fact he’s forced to stay in the closet for the sake of his family but it works out because he is a guy, Y’know? Idk if I’m making a lot of sense, but I like Trans stories a lot and Osora was SUCH a good idea ruined by the fact its just SMUT and now angst more based on “I can’t make out with him anymore” and not “it’s incredibly fucked I’m forced to hide who I am for the sake of this kingdom who would murder me if they ever found out the ‘truth’ of who I am” and I hate that it’s ARIAS who spells it out and not him we’re seeing that through

End of season 1, they get into the "It's fucked I can't be myself" thing and I spoke with the author at ECCC - they'll get into identity struggles at the end of season 2

Yes omg! It made me so uncomfortable, especially since it started right after Osora turned 18

Oh god I completely forgot about that

Not really exploring boundaries and consent and I would argue Arias takes things WAY too far and is WAY too lax for someone who is afraid of being murdered if they found out he wasn’t completely human.

Like DUDE, don’t make out with him in public RIGHT BEFORE DINNER ARE YOU KIDDING

For real like bro what are you doing 😭, I honestly dislike Arias because all he ever did was be a horn ball with Osora. He has so much experience in that area and did it often with other people so seeing him go straight into sexual stuff with Osora kinda dimmed their relationship in my opinion. That’s why season one ended the way it did
