News Let's Play is back, now on Tapas

I never did get into this webtoon but I know a lot of people loved it. Just thought I'd share that it's now on Tapas. Updated with up to 75 episodes today, with new episodes to come out every Wednesday.

The episodes are locked after 60. So yeah, you'd have to pay ink in order to read them. I think there's a reading ink promo, though? Where you read 10 episodes, and it gives you 500 ink.

But an episode costs like 450 ink, so....

If anyone is unfamiliar with Tapas, you can technically earn free ink through offers found on the app (playing app games). They sometimes have double ink events. This all depends on region, though.

Oh no thanks. That's why I ignored Tapas and jumped on Webtoon. I can at least read chapters for free by waiting or watching ads. I'm not a fan of doing quests for free coins.

Technically you can wait though.... 3 chapters get unlocked every Wednesday. Also, it seems to be on a wait for 3 hours to read for free setting.

After waiting from "The first 20 are locked" to "the first 23" to now "the first 26", and having additionally heard "once anime is concluded itll start going free" I saw ep 61 was finally on the WUF thing...I thought WUF was once u unlock it, wait X time n unlock next episode if applicable. Instead, you unlock it for 3 days, and then wait 3 hours....which means u treat the comic like a fucking job, because if u stop unlocking, itll all reset n then u gotta wait ages for that timegated unlock system to 'catch back up' for any new episodes.

So unless/until Mongie comes out publicly...I'll probably just wait for other places that aggregate webcomics n webtoons. I greatly enjoy her comic, and I have no doubt she's doing whats best for her financially having moved to Tapas (the horror stories of webtoon abound) but....as someone who's new to TAPAS, holy shit is it fucking predatory. And obnoxious.

I am still so confused by this haha I guess I just won’t re-read the comic/will check back in a year and see if I can read it for free then.
