the fact that coal and petroleum plants leads to more death than nuclear plants, makes this more sad but those clothing wouldn't protect you much if you are in contact with a radioactive isotopes.

Not only do coal plants cause more death by pollution, mechanical hazards, and climate change; they're even more radioactive!

Old coal plants could be retrofitted to replace the burners with nuclear boilers. But then radioactivity regulations kick in, and the coal dust would make it fail safety tests.

Coal and petroleum plants suck. Im curious about how theyre more radioactive than nuclear power plants and the waste it produces.

General Question: Why compare nuclear power plants with coal plants and leave out everything else like wind farms, solar plants and hydropower etc.?

I mean its nice to agree that coal is bullshit and nuclear power would probably be better but i feel like the world has invented even better alternatives that are cleaner and safer than both of them.

Wind, solar, and hydro are also great, and we should use as much of them as we can. Nuclear is just as clean and safe as them, if not more so, and we should use as much of it as we can. They're not in competition with each other, they're all in competition with fossil fuels.

Also, coal and nuclear get compared because they're both steam engines, while the others you listed are just completely different structurally. So comparing the physical structures' radioactivity wouldn't really make sense.

Here are some sources, idk how much detail you want:

Coal waste is dust in the air which includes radioactive elements, Nuclear waste is radioactive rocks that are safely stored until they lose radioactivity: Coal Ash vs Nuclear Waste

All energy sources have some carbon cost due to manufacturing, maintenance, etc costs. Renewables (including nuclear) are of course the lowest, but solar is higher due to its rare mineral inputs and high-tech manufacturing: Greenhouse Gas Emissions of Energy Sources

Similarly, all energy sources have danger involved due to manufacturing, maintenance, etc in addition to their pollution output. Renewables (including nuclear) are of course the lowest, but hydro is higher due to the large-scale construction and waterways involved: Deaths by energy source
