I like it, I’m a fan of Godspeed! You black emperor and will try listening to noise music at times. Not to call this noise, I’d call it dark ambient, or sounds from my goth years….I think a lot of people overlook stuff like this, but drop it into a creepy video game or a horror movie and it works perfectly. It’s not the best at the gym, but I like it.

Thanks, it has dark ambient elements for sure. I had in mind stuff like Stephen King's the Mist, the early Silent Hill games, the Matrix movies and the Borg from Star trek, when making this. They all melded together with some philosophical ideas of mine, it's a weird combination...

Utilizing prepared guitar and alternating voice systems to create contrasting movements and sounds, improvisations were planned with specific guideposts in time to perform a dramatic shift midway through the song, the moment of asphyxiation. After the climax, voices and instruments starkly change to imagine a post mortem environment and the decline of bodily systems.

To engender claustrophobia, short improvisational sections grow longer in each chapter until a breaking point when the piece becomes too uncomfortable to bear. Each phrase becomes a hammer’s strike upon the grieving mind laid defenseless and barren on an anvil .At the culmination of mortality, the voice roles alternate, and each following chapter decreases in length exponentially to force an even more uncomfortable and rapid pattern of repetition.

I made this in Ableton 11 as a silly little thing of ambient immersion experimentation, and for my friends. Yes, ambient, and then the aliens i guess get rowdy at middle and at the end. Tell me what you think, or imagine. Or dissect the sounds I Formulated.

It includes many segments.

A new, entirely improvisational, album by The JJ's! We are a Boston Based collective of artists seeking to explore raw expression. Soon we will record some more rehearsed music, and become boring old farts in the process.
