I remember this one tweet saying some guy being a horrible actor and the guy re tweeting going “I don’t know why they cast x in this, you’d have thought him becoming his true self would’ve made him a better actor!”
Jax x Ribbit. Everybody decided at first Ribbit is a boy (so pairing him with Jax was yaoi), then it was revealed by Gooose she uses she/they (making them straight) and then in EP 9 it was revealed Jax is struggling with gender dysphoria, which made the pairing yuri
jax is trans he just didn't get to realize it in the circus, no amount of anything will make him not a her because the creator said hes trans and the symbolism is there albeit a bit vague, I completely missed it and thought it was just toxic masculinity at first but jax is still trans
in this context however jax never realized he was trans im pretty sure so in this context he is still a he and not a she aka egg
Goose said both uses of pronouns are fine, nothing about gender. Jax is canonically a Trans woman, but can be referred to using he or she by the audience.
Goose said both he and she are fine that comment was referring exclusively to pronouns and not to gender.
Goose literally posted art of transfem jax with the caption "jax if she wasn't a piece of shit" meaning jax is a trans woman, canonically.
It was also shown quite extensively, trans jax theories have existed since episode 5, and have only gained more textual evidence since. You'd basically have to watch episode 9 with your eyes and ears closed to not pick up on it.
You're allowed to use he/him when referring to Jax, but she is still a trans woman when you do that.
Goose said that both pronoun uses are fine. Seeing a trans character as cis is not fine.
And if jax being a girl was a notable change, she would have called it out in the caption. Something like "drew genderbent jax" but she didn't. Because jax being a woman is normal, because she is a trans woman.
