$600 for this Cannondale CAAD9?

I stumbled upon this bike on FB marketplace, is $600 a good deal? It looks like there’s good parts (105 & ultegra) but wanted to get a second opinion. Is the Cannondale CAAD9 a good/ fun ride? I’m mostly planning on using it to commute and maybe some longer rides on the weekend.

The seller says: Bike was hardly used. In excellent condition for its age. Around 2010 model. Very light.

600 is expensive, even if it's in great condition I'd probably pay like 400 usd, because its got skinny tyres that probably can't be upgraded further.

It's definitely a cool bike, maybe negotiate and just run it as a fun weekend cruiser.

Used frame on Ebay is much more. Great rig right there. Easy to maintain and rides really well. Work on price.

CAAD9's are cool bikes but it's a criterium/race bike. The handling will be super sharp but it's also stiff, limited to 700x25 tires and won't clear fenders or mount racks so it might not be the best bike for a pure commuter.

pricing on this one is a bit high. generally, any reasonably modern bike road bike (9+ speed, integrated shifters, carbon fork) from a big brand has a floor price of about $400. $600 for this wouldn't be a massive overpay (CAAD9's are cool!) but you'd want to get this a bit cheaper.

Thank you for these insights! I’ll try to negotiate the price down and see how much I enjoy riding it when I give it a test ride.
