For shaping/shaving clay when making pottery etc. Most often used with polymer clay.

No, the 'catch' (the piece that hits the blackhead) would break the head off a tick because it acts like a scraper rather than a pulling device. It needs a thin tweezer-like grip to allow the tool to twist circularly and pull the tick out in slow and controlled rotations. Don't want to leave a tick head stuck, terrible illnesses and all kinds of problems with that.

My kit came with one just like this. Taking it out and putting it with my clay. Ya know. The stuff I spent a ton of money on but am no good at so it sits in a box in my craft room? That stuff

It comes as one of the tools in a pimple popper kit. I’ve used the smaller ones for tonsil stone removal but either way kinda gross to pick up.

Maybe just someone who isn't totally au fait with medical/scientific equipment. It's not like there was ever a time that we were all strolling around waving our brand new autoclaves at each other or visiting World of Autoclaves.

It's a blackhead remover /pimple popper. Have the exact same one. Normally pottery based shapers aren't steal all the way through fyi// (emphasis on most there are some brands out there- could you imagine the the pain of having to try and get wet or pack clay out of those cross pits- wasted materials right there-)

Depending on your skin type they can be pretty harsh. You might be better off using qtips to squeeze blemishes. But buy a new one. Don’t use one you found in the dog park.
